Seeking Clarity

Seeking Clarity

If you’re like me, you can’t get enough purple. This is the soft, opaque purple you want if you’re looking for something understated, yet noticeable. It’s a great casual piece but also dresses up well. It is lightweight and lies comfortably with its flattering drop shape and slim profile. This jade has a lightly marbled texture to give it interest. It goes well with a wide range of colors from rusty browns and reds to soft pinks and pastels.

I purchased this stone from an expert lapidary who usually takes accurate photos, but the actual color wasn’t even close to the photos with this one. Turkish jade is a committed dusty purple, and her photos showed something more vibrant and bright. I made the purchase anyway, since I knew the color of Turkish jade and knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. But when I started taking the photos for this pendant I realized why she had a difficult time photographing it. I couldn’t believe how tricky it was to capture this elusive purple color. I finally succeeded, but it took several attempts and a fair amount of time to get it right. Whew! The name speaks for itself. (Let this stone be your own gentle reminder that sometimes seeking clarity is often difficult though necessary, and, if pursued, within reach and attainable.)

This type of jade is unique, only found in Turkey, and it is super scarce! The mine is now closed and this is some of the last available material there is. It is also from the older stock, which is the kind of purple you see in this pendant. The later material is a more purplish brown, not nearly as lovely. If you can find this material anywhere it comes at a high price. I am pleased to be able to offer the finest of this rare and beautiful material to you so it can complement your own rare and beautiful personality.
